Meet Our Doctors

Hi, I’m Dr. Anna Reading

My name is Dr. Anna Reading, and I am the proud owner of Horizon Veterinary Care. We opened our doors to meet the growing need for veterinary care in our community. Each of my patients is personal and treasured. I have a deep appreciation for the human-animal bond, and in fact, became a veterinarian after the unexpected loss of my dog Zoe altered the trajectory of my life. That experience forever changed me, and I will always practice with the utmost care for my patients and their profound relationships with their families.

In my time outside of work, I enjoy relaxing with my husband, daughter, and our dog Nico. In nice weather I am usually found outside in my garden, trying to grow veggies and native plants, all the while keeping snails and woodland creatures from eating everything. It is a Sisyphean task, but I love it.

I know that visiting the veterinarian can be stressful for animals and people alike, and my goal is to put you and your pets at ease. Please always feel free to ask questions and offer your opinion, as I feel that open communication and trust are essential to providing the best possible veterinary medicine for your pet. Whether the visits are routine or more complex, I can guarantee that I will approach them all with honesty, compassion, and integrity.
